 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

Fig. 1 est une vue latérale de la machine complète;
Fig. 2 est une vue frontale, partielle, de la même machine;

  Manufacturing process of cement concrete blocks and devices
The invention relates to a new process for the manufacture of concrete parts, possibly hollow and profiled in any way, with a view to improving their consistency and their resistance with respect to the parts obtained by the known processes, as well as devices for the production. practical realization of said process.

   According to known methods, cement concrete blocks are ordinarily manufactured by compressing the mortar using pestle machines, the interior of molds of suitable shape, or by settling of the mortar in the molds, caused by a rapid vibration of these. Since the filling of the molds is normally done using a hand shovel it often happens that the mortar is not evenly distributed inside the molds.

   This lack of uniformity of filling results in a variation in compression in ramming machines.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 exerted by the various pestles, resulting, in turn, in a variable resistance of the block according to its various cuts; in vibratory machines, on the contrary, there is a more regular distribution, but the settling of the mortar is not so energetic. The latter system also produces blocks whose consistency decreases from bottom to top due to the gradual reduction in the pressure acting on the mass of mortar.
According to the invention, on the contrary, the mortar loaded by the skin is first of all uniformly distributed in the mold and subjected to a first settlement by rapid vibration of the mold itself,

   in a suitably chosen direction and is subjected after final settlement in the same mold by direct mechanical compression of the mortar in the mold. according to another characteristic of the invention, this process is preferably carried out in a ramming machine in which the mold is slidably mounted on fixed guides of the frame and carries a rotating shaft provided with eccentric masses suitable for printing on the mold, for example as a result of their centrifugal force, a very rapid vibration, in a direction perpendicular to said rotating shaft and parallel to the guides.

   It is thus possible to manufacture each cement concrete block in a single working phase, without moving the mold from one machine to another, which is particularly advantageous in order to obtain absolutely uniform and eco-friendly products. nomic, in large quantities. whatever the way in which the process is carried out, the experiment has clearly shown that it allows to obtain blocks having a consistency and a specific weight higher than those obtained by the known methods *

 sible invention.

   two different embodiments of the machine which is one of the objects thereof.

   In the drawing:
Fig. 1 is a side view of the complete machine;
Fig. 2 is a partial front view of the same machine;
Fig. 3 is a partial side view of the same machine. comprising a variant of the mold assembly.

   As can be seen clearly from the drawing, the machine consists in particular of a fixed frame 1 on which are mounted the removable mold 2 and the pestle control mechanism 3, driven by the shaft 4 by means of the belt 5. The mold 2 can slide freely in the vertical direction, with its base 2 ′ between lateral guides 6, 6 ′ which prevent any movement of the mold in the horizontal direction.

   The base 2 'has two protrusions 7 downwards constituting the supports of a shaft 8, driven in rotation by the motor shaft 4 by means of the belt 9 and the pulley 9', and provided with a mass eccentric 10; this mass is calculated so as to cause, as a result of the rapid rotation of the shaft 8, a vibration in the vertical direction of the mold 2. This vibration is due to the vertical components of the centrifugal force developed by the eccentric mass 10, components whose direction is reversed at each half turn of the shaft 8.

   It is, however, understood that other components of the centrifugal force developed by the eccentric mass 10 could be used, provided that suitable guide means of the mold are employed. Thus, for example, it will be possible to impart to the mold a vibration along a horizontal plane, as it results from FIG. by providing the base 2 'with guides 11. it' projecting laterally and able to slide in notches 12, 12 'of the frame 1 against the action of compression springs 13, 13'. In this case, the horizontal components of the centrifugal force de-

 veloppée by the mass 10, which are also inverted at each half-turn of the shaft 8.

   On the shaft 4 can be provided a friction coupling, not shown, making it possible to transmit the movement independently to the belts 5 or 9.

   The block manufacturing process is carried out as follows:
While filling the mold 2 with mortar, by means of the shaft 4 and the friction coupling, the shaft 8 is controlled by making the mold vibrate until the mortar has been dispensed. in the mold in an absolutely uniform manner, thus undergoing a first packing, the movement of the shaft 8 is then stopped by moving the friction coupling to set in motion, still by means of the shaft ", the pestle mechanism with which the material is then compressed in the mold ensuring its final settling. Once the movement of the pestles has stopped, the mold can be opened to extract the block.

   It is obvious that the settling of the mortar obtained by the vibratory movement of the mold increases the efficiency of the pestles, whose action can thus have a much shorter duration than in the case of simple compression, because the pestles act on a homogeneous mass.

   The constructive features of the machine can be modified without departing from the scope of the invention.
