Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  Il Packaging case for cigarillos, cigarettes and other products ".

   There are currently many models of cardboard cases or boxes, intended for the packaging of products. The special sizes have been created for cigars, cigarillos and cigars, as well as for items with reduced space, such as pencils, pharmaceutical tubes, meroerie, objects and toiletries, etc.

   The object of the invention is an improvement in the latest types of cases, which are generally of parallelepid shape with low thickness. The current boots / on the market are general. Usually made of several elements glued or stapled together for the intended purpose.

   The case forming the object of this invention is of the model cited but is characterized by the fact that it is formed from a single

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

 piece of cardboard, suitably folded and shaped as a case without the aid of glue or metal staples. In order to assemble the sides of the folded cardboard, these have one or more tabs, respectively slots, which hook together to make the case, without the possibility of accidental dismantling. during the relatively short time the holster is in use.

   The manufacture of such a packaging case is therefore limited to a die-cutting operation and to an operation of folding and hooking the tabs. This method of manufacture achieves significant savings in view of the absence of stapling or gluing machines generally used to date.

   A case for cigarillos or cigarettes, comprising the characteristics according to the invention, is described below, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing.

   This drawing represents a development of the single cardboard cut out forming the complete box according to the invention.

   This carton has two main areas 1 and 2 respectively forming the rear and front face of the case, bounded by the fold lines shown in dotted lines. Zones 3, 4, 5, 6, limited by the fairly close fold lines, constitute the lateral sides of the case after manufacture.

  The flanges 7, 8 form support extensions giving the box sufficient mechanical strength. The tongues 9, 10, bent at right angles and resting on the lower side 5, also increase the rigidity of the assembly.

   The main feature however resides in the tabs 11, 12 forming a hook and being able to engage in the slots 13, 14 of the rim 7.

   Folding and assembly are therefore obvious. Face 2 is folded over face 1, the side o8tés 3, 4, 5, 6 being straightened. The hooks 11, 12 are stapled in the slots 13,

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

 14 of flange 7 folded over 1, taking care to first fold 9 and 10 as well as 8, under face 2.

   The boot is closed by the tongue 15, of known shape, engaging in the slot 16 of the faoe 2.

   Finally, the closure of the hooks 11, 12 can be sealed by the fiscal band which must be stuck on any case of cigarettes.

   As stated above, the invention is not limited to the packaging of cigarettes or the like, but applies to all cases of the type cited. It also extends to large packaging boxes, the method of closure by hooks also being applicable to packaging of all sizes.

   CLAIMS.

   1.) Packaging case, particularly for cigarillos, cigarettes and similar products, characterized by the fact that it consists of a single sheet of cardboard cut and folded and comprising tabs or hooks cut in the material, capable of they alone ensure the assembly closure of the case.
