    M o t e u r h case e rotative

 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 4>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 9>

    Rotary m o t e u r h case
Object of the present invention is a rotary case motor, characterized by at least one wheel body fixed to the motor shaft, rotating in a box and having at least on one side a rotating case at the same time as the wheel body, which is formed by a cavity in the wheel body limited at least by one transverse wall, and characterized by at least one slide, which periodically enters the rotating case, and which makes free the cross section of the rotating box for the passage of the transverse wall of the rotating box, and near the drawer where there is on one side an inlet port for the propulsion means, and on the other hand an exhaust port , so much so that in the rotating box,

   between one side This the transverse wall of the rotary box and one side of the drawer is formed a force expansion space, and between another side of the transverse wall of the rotary box and another side of the drawer is formed an exhaust espaoe.

   In the engine of the present invention the effect of the propulsion means does not act on a stirring piston, but on a rotating box of a body of

 do a wheel that turns in a box and into which a drawer periodically enters? at which the pressure is repelled, by rotating the wheel body ot then the force is brought directly to the motor shaft. The frictional resistance and other losses and wear can be reduced to a minimum per co-engine and the force utilization is much higher than reciprocating engines.

   The operation of this rotary box motor is more even, almost under vibrations, the noise is minimal when the expulsion of the means of propulsion consumed see the exhaust gases is done at low pressure. It is possible to reduce both the weight, the size and the requirement of the propulsion means, in comparison to the efficiency dimension, which ensures a very favorable effect from the point of view of economy. The rotary box motor can be started by steam, compressed air, water and all other liquid or gas-shaped propulsion means.

   For combustible fuels such as gasoline, petrol, gasoline, heavy oil or gas, the rotary box motor is provided for this purpose with one or more compressors which can be constructed to operate as a piston machine or rotary machine. .,

 In Fig. 7 is shown for example a wheel body, in a transverse half-section, of a rotary box motor which has rotativos boxes on all sides of the wheel body.

  Fig. 8 shows for example a half cross section of a wheel body of a rotary box motor, which in two dimensions has rotating boxes.

   In the box 1 of the motor, in the middle and at the two covers 2 is placed the shaft of the motor 3 on which are fixed at intervals two wheel bodies rotating case and ± which are placed in a box of the wheel. These wheel bodies @ rotary box and 5 each have four uniform rotary boxes 6 in outline formed by those in the same roundness as the wheel body, having a half-round cross section and limited by transverse walls 7. As for the cross section of the rotary box, we can also choose another shape, which allows a perfect closure.

   The transverse walls of the rotating boxes of the rotating box wheel body 4 have been moved 45 degrees in relation to those of the rotating box wheel body @ The transverse walls of the rotating box are provided at the free edge with sealing bars 8 and each of a scraper for the lubricating oil 2 resting on the friction surface of the gearbox 10.

   The lubricating oil scrapers 1 extend laterally into the lubricating oil ducts 11 placed laterally in the wheel boxes. The rotating boxes are sealed on both sides by several sealing bars 12 side to side. side, each of which, the most intere, goes to the limited neighboring edge of the rotary box, see Fig. 6, The lateral sealing of the rotating boxes can be done in a similar way instead of bars in the wheel body of the rotating box, by bars in the box in front of the side walls of the rotating box, i.e. ie by bars in the box itself, as in the walls of the rotating box.

   On the upper part of the rotary box wheel bodies - and 2 there is a drawer 13

 <Desc / Clms Page number 4>

 see 14 in box 1 and these drawers fit into the rotating case below. The drawers 1} and 14 are each provided with a cooling jacket 15 for the cooling liquid. As for refrigeration, this can take place directly in the drawers.

   As fig, 6 demonstrates, the drawers 13 and 14 are provided with several sealing bars 16 in the shape of a "U" adhering to the boundary wall of the rotary box, and laterally with sealing bars 17 adhering to the box. . Whenever a passage of the transverse wall of the rotating box takes place, the drawer is moved outside the rotating box, As long as also when passing the transverse walls of the rotating boxes near the location of the drawers, the bars sealing 8 of the transverse walls of the rotating compartments slide laterally out of the location of the drawers, it is ensured an impeccable and complete seal at the location of the drawer. Instead of swirling drawers, we can build rotating drawers.

   At all sides of the wheel body that is to say around that, as well as laterally can be placed rotating boxes and drawers in any number, as for example is represented by a cross section in FIG. 7 On the motor shaft 76 is attached the rouo body 77 which, in all sides, either to the outline} as also to the other dimensions, has rotating boxes to which are attached;, back drawers (not back .).

   The axial section of the rotary box wheel body may in itself show any shape as shown for example in Fig, 8. On the motor shaft 79 is attached the wheel body 80 the quol presonte do two sides of the rotary boxes 81 to which drawers are added.

From Figs. 1, 2, 4 and 5, the drawer 13 ost directed by the levers 67 and.: 1.1 placed above the shaft 18, the pestle '. 20 and lever 22

 places on the axle 21, having a bolt 25 placed in the bolt sliding duct 23 of the steering wheel 24 and in connection with a jack 26 and by a bolt gear in the driving ring 27 in the steering wheel 24. The lever 22 is under pressure for rapid closure by means of the spring 28,
Fig. 5 shows the steering wheel according to the following sections S - K and P - N in Fig. 2.

   The steering wheel 24 is placed on the shaft 29 by a key (not shown in the drawing) and this wheel can be moved sideways and it is set in motion by the toothed ring 30 located in the rotating case wheel body ± with toothed wheel 31 opposite shaft 3 in the direction of a multiple gear. The lateral displacement of the steering wheel takes place by means of the sliding duct of the bolt 32 (Fig, 6) located in the rotary box wheel body in which the bolt 33 (Fig, 5) of the rod 34, being in connection with the hub ring 35 of the steering wheel 24.

   The sliding conduct of the bolt 32 is such that after each rotation of the steering wheel 24, this wheel is pushed again to the other side. By the lateral displacement of the steering wheel it follows that during one rotation the bolt 25 turns in the sliding condiute of the bolt 23, and due to the domed shape of the sliding conduit of the bolt 23 as shown in FIG.

   2, the drawer 13 is open and that it is closed immediately after the passage of a wall of the rotary box by means of the pressure of the spring 28, There is a space in the driving ring for the hook 26 whose bottom is correspondingly to the sliding pipe of the bolt 23 as shown by Figs, 2 and 5 by thin lines, The steering wheel 24 has on the other side also the same driving ring 36 and a sliding pipe of the bolt 37, in the drawn position of the steering wheel (Fig. 5), the bolt 38 is located outside the

This box is surrounded by a hollow 51 to receive the cooling liquid. A suction channel is installed at the valves 52 at this cylinder box 50 directed from the

 wheel 24 takes place by the pressure of the valve spring 55. by means of the pulley 56 on the rotating mean surface 57, provided with cams.

  Instead of a piston compression, the engine can be fitted with a rotary compressor, From the compressor cylinder box go through the machine box two cannais (pipes) 58 and 59 are in each is

 oombustion 62 and 63 and in each a spark plug 64 and 65. The spark plugs can be replaced by fuel injection installations.

   The inlet valves 60 and 61 are directed by angled rocker levers 68 and 69 placed on the axis 66 and these levers rest separately by pulleys on the sliding surfaces 70 and 71, provided with cams located. on the circumference of the steering wheel 24, cams are attached only over half the width of the sliding surfaces 70 and 71 and so that when lateral displacement of the steering wheel 24 takes place during a rotation thereof, of which there is only one valve which remains in the closed position while the other inlet valve is actuated. In this way, the two intake valves 60 and 61 are directed alternately. The orifices 74 serve to expel the fuel consumed, see burnt gases.

   As demonstrated in Figs. 1, 2, and 3 there is provided an oil reservoir 12, in which an oil pump is installed (not shown in the drawing), By means of oil pipes attached to the pump, lubrication takes place motor shaft and bearings. Likewise, it leads to each transverse wall a special lubricating line to the scraping lubricating bar 2, which goes to the lubricating oil line 11 and from there the oil flows back to the reservoir. By this lubrication system, the sliding surfaces in the box are always properly lubricated during each movement of the wheel bodies with rotary boxes.

   Other oil conduits leave from the lubrication pump to the drawers 13 and 14 and these conduits are thrown on the one hand to the sealing bars in the form "U" and to the drawers on the other hand outlet and therefore it Lubrication takes place on the sliding surfaces between the drawers and rotary boxes, When the drawers are open no oil is supplied to them, Lubrication takes place through the oil pump for the crank shaft, the compressor , the cushions and all the steering mechanism of the drawers and valves, By

     part [le la rouo do direction 24,. The expansion chambers, see combustion chambers 62 and 63 are each surrounded by a hollow space 75 to receive the coolant.

  Instead of these hollow spaces we can install fins for air cooling, Air cooling can also take place by 7¯0 :; internal parts of the bodies (the wheel: has rotativos cases which will then be fitted with air pellets,
The operation of this rotary box engine as described is as follows, when gasoline is used as fuel:
Fig. 1 indicates the position of the rotary box motor immediately after the start of expansion ;, see combustion and the rotary box wheel body and 5 have their direction of movement in the sound of the arrows.

   The intake valve 52 is opened by the steering wheel 24 by means of the steering surface: it is located around and in the middle and by the rocker lever 54; the fuel is sucked from the carburetor by the running movements compression piston 49.

  When the suction is complete, the suction valve 52 is formed and the sucked fuel is compressed to about 1 atü by the compression stroke in the cylinder box 50. In the meantime the spool 14 has been pushed out. ieur (that is to say open) is made free near the position of the drawer the transverse section of the rotating caso to allow the passage of a transverse wall l of the wheel body 2 The drawer 14 opens from the same way as drawer 13. The opening takes place as follows; The lever 22 is pushed upwards by the bolt 25 located in the sliding pipe 23. This movement is transmitted to the spool 13 by means of pestle 20, lever 19, shaft 18 and lever 67. The spring 26 resting on the lever 22 is then hugged.

   Immediately after passing a transverse wall of the rotary box 1 near the position of the drawer, the drawer 13

 <Desc / Clms Page number 9>

 closes very quickly as a result of the strong curvature of the bolt sliding pipe 23 acting on the steering parts of the back of the drawers and by the help and pressure of the spring 28, Then and immediately after closing the drawer 13 the intake valve 60 is opened by the sliding surface of the outer side cam 70 of the steering wheel by the rocker lever 68 and the fuel previously compressed by the same stroke to about 1 atü in the compressor comes compressed then through channel 58 into combustion chamber 62 at about 5.5 to 6 atü.

   At the same time as the stroke of the compression is completed) the inlet valve 60 is formed the fuel mixture is brought into combustion. By the pressure of the explosion in the combustion chamber 62, the transverse wall 1 at the rear edge of the box is pushed back by the drawer 13, the wheel body with rotating boxes 4 are rotated in the direction of the arrow and the force is transmitted to the motor shaft 3, The burnt gases are then conducted further into the oase by the box until the transverse wall of the rotating box which precedes, has passed the location of the drawer and that the drawer is closed again and then the consumed gases are expelled through orifice 74.

  During combustion and immediately after the closing of the spool 13, the steering wheel 24 is moved laterally by the bolt sliding duct 32 in the rotary box wheel body passing through the bolt and the rod. ± ±, so that the bolt is outside the sliding duct 23 during the rotation of the steering wheel 24.

   During this revolution of the steering wheel, the slide 13 is held in the closed position by the steering crown 27 and the hook 26 which holds it from below by the steering mechanism. The lateral displacement of the steering wheel simultaneously achieves the effect that the inlet valve 60 remains closed during the revolution of the steering wheel since the pulley of the toggle lever 68 rotates out of the moving parts. cam shape of the surface

  J oompressed in the combustion chamber L3 by the intake valve 210 By the steering wheel 24 moved latar: ller # nt, the operation of the valves and the sliders takes place in the same way. The motoric force emanating from the combustion chamber 6 is transmitted as described in the same way.

   While in one of the rotating boxes there is still expansion, another combustion takes place in a rotating box of the rotary box wheel body and therefore the machine shaft is still under the influence of the drive. , Quent to the rotary box motor according to the description and drawings in Fig. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, it can be seen that eight combustions occur in all in the two wheel bodies: a rotary case in relation to one revolution of the machine shaft.,
It is above all advantageous that the placement and the volume of the rotary oases motor are well in relation to the use for which this motor is intended.

  The principle is similar when using steam, air oomp = im4, water etc. for 1 oxtW ^ itation9 all this without compressor ;, The input of the propulsion means can also take place directly by the drawer and it can be directed by this one. For the convenience of installations stat-

 ionaires or also for installations in ships X5 ships, an-G ') mobile or vehicles, the main dimension of the motor rotary boxes can be constructed as required both radially and axially to the motor shaft.

 admission and expulsion. Regarding '1 box engine. rotary for the, which. combustible fuel will be used, it will also be necessary to install a corresponding number of compressors. During the revolution of the wheel body with rotating boxes, several combustions, see expansions, may take place by the same rotating box.

   Thus, for example by a rotary box engine designed for the use of combustible fuels with four compressors and four rotary box wheel bodies, each containing four rotary boxes and these are each provided with four drawers, there will be sixty-four combustions. at each revolution of the tree.

     According to the same principle we can also build a high speed rotary box motor, the rotary box wheel bodies having several rotating boxes next to each other and whose depth is smaller in relation to each other. than to the motor according to the drawing, in order to obtain the smallest or shortest possible agitation path for the drawers and by this process a greater number of rotations results.

   Several of these rotary box motors could be installed one after the other in the form of a bar on the same shaft with the smallest front surface. This means a very important advantage from the aerodynamic point of view in employing them as engines in airplanes and it is possible to mount them in the cross section of the body which is necessary for the pilot, As for large airplanes for which are provided with several motors, it is possible to accommodate the motors with rotary box adopting the corresponding dimensions, completely in the wings and by this, the air resistance observed when using other types of motors is eliminated. There is another advantage in that the weight can be relatively low compared to the efficiency in motor power.

   As a result, the present rotary box motor of such a construction is advantageously suitable as a motor power for airplanes,
