 <Desc/Clms Page number 2>

 <Desc/Clms Page number 3>

  Automatic cinnamon cutter, for dividers.

  The invention relates to a cinnamon cup automatically lifting the cinnamon, when the latter have reached a determined diameter, or after having rolled up a determined number of meters.

  The advantages of this system are as follows: 1 of automatically cutting the cinnamon with the divider 2 of having all the cinnamons of the same diameter The drawings appended to this specification show schematically and by way of example an embodiment with a view to elevation and a side view of the cinnamon cutter.

  The strands of strands coming from the wipers are wound on a mandrel I, the ends of which rotate in the notches 2 of the levers 3, which put pressure on the attractor 4 by means of the counterweights 5.

  A shaft 6 receives its rotational movement by a pinion 7 wedged on the shaft of the attractor 4, which communicates it to the pinion 8. The speed of the shaft 6 depends on the number of teeth of the pinions 7 and 8. On l 'axis 6 and on each side are wedged two plates 9.

  When the cinnamon has to be cut, the trays 9 will only make one turn and it is during this turn that the necessary operations to cut and remove the cinnamon will be carried out.

  An appropriate counter, operating according to the number of revolutions, starts the plates 9 at the determined moment and when these plates have made their revolution, they stop and the counter returns to its initial position.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 2>

  The attractors having carried out the determined number of turns, the trays 9, start to make the prescribed turn.

  The roller 10 pushes the boss II of the lever 12 causes the latter to oscillate, the rod 13 descends, disengages the reserve cinnamon wood 14 which takes up position 15.

  During this time, the toothed sector 16 is in contact with the pinion 17 and gives a rotational movement to the shaft 18 according to the arrow 19. The lever 3 being wedged on the shaft 18 is also driven according to the arrow 19. and takes its position 20. An inclined plane 21 releases the cinnamon from the notches 2 and the cinnamon 22 is deposited at the end of a support 23.

  A roller 24 pushes lever 25 upwards by acting on a straight part 26. At the end of this lever 25, there is an axis 27 on which is riveted a sheet 28 which can oscillate in the supports 25.

  On each side of this plate 28 are placed 2 cams 29. The cams 29 being heavier than the plate 28, the latter will always have a tendency to be influenced by the cam.

  At this moment the cams 29 are retained by the shaft 6. As the shaft 27 and the lever 25 go up, the cams 29 by their weight go down, the sheet 28 oscillates and takes the coil wires 30, which are retained by a card lining 31 wound on the shaft 18 and these are cut.

  The cam 29 abuts against the roller 32, the cam 29 rotates the sheet 28 and places the coil wires 30 in front of the cinnamon 15 which are wound on the latter by means of the attractor 4.

  The plates 9 continue to rotate, the rollers 24 abandon the straight part 26 of the levers 25, these fall back, come to a stop against the stop 33. Then 26,27,28 are found in their initial position.

  The toothed sector 34 has come into mesh with the double pinion 35, which returns the lever 3 to its initial position, according to arrow 36, the end 37 comes to rest on the edge 38 of the fixed support 39.

 <Desc / Clms Page number 3>

  The trays having made a complete turn, all the organs are in their initial positions to start a new cinnamon.

  The threads continue to wind on the mandrel 15, the cinnamon grows, the two ends 40, fall into the notches 2 of the lever 3, the ends 37 of which rest on 38.

  The cinnamon continues to grow, to finally be cut like the previous one.

  As has been written, the invention is not limited to the form shown.

  The carded lining 31 wound on the shaft 18, may be a rough surface or other devices, capable of retaining the stranded yarns. On or near the shaft 18, there is or may be a clamp system capable of retaining or cutting the stranded wires.

  As the stranded wires do not offer much resistance, the shaft 18 could be smooth. The toothed sectors 16 and 34 could have the first re-entrant tooth, that is to say that this first tooth, under the action of a spring, would allow perfect engagement.

  These two sectors 16 and 34 could have a recoil damped by a spring which would ensure the gear.

  The teeth of the sectors 16 and 34 of the pinions 17 and 35 could be replaced by friction wheels.

  You can also cut several cinnamon on the same attractor, etc.
