Abstract

Strong alcoholic drinks having lower methanol content than the plum brandy at higher cost efficiency are produced by the method. Plum distillate and rectified alcohol with alcoholic content 38-42 v.% are mixed in radio 20-30 % distillate and 70-80 % alcohol after which tanning extract is added in quantities 0.5-0.7 g/dm3 dry matter, sugar 7-9 g/dm3 and caramel to proper colouring. The blend is cured under suitable conditions for 2 to 5 months. The alcohol content is adjusted, the product is filtered and bottled.
