Abstract

"ENZIMAS AS QUAIS DESIDRATAM GLICEROL". A presente invenção refere-se a métodos e reagentes aperfeiçoados para a produção de 1,3-propanodiol. Em particular, a presente invenção fornece novos organismos termofílicos e enzimas termoestáveis capazes de catalisar a fermentação de glicerol a 1,3-propanodiol. A presente invenção também refere-se a métodos de isolar tais organismos termofílicos, métodos de clonar polinucleotídeos que codificam tais enzimas, polinucleotídeos codificando tais enzimas, e métodos de usar tais enzimas e organismos para a produção de 1,3-propanodiol.
