Abstract

Patente de Invenção: "PROCESSO DE RESINA-EM-POLPA PARA RECUPERAçãO DE NìQUEL E COBALTO DE POLPA DE LIXIVIAçãO DE MINéRIOS OXIDADOS". Um processo é proporcionado para a recuperação direta de níquel e cobalto de uma polpa de lixiviação de minério oxidado nicluelífero por troca iónica. Um minério niquelífero é lixiviado com ácido mineral para solubilizar os metais. A polpa de lixiviação resultante é posta em contato com a resina de troca iónica, que carrega, seletivamente, o níquel e o cobalto da polpa. A resina é separada da polpa de lixiviação por peneiramento, e depois submetida à extração com uma solução ácida. Após extração, a resina é retornada para o ciclo de carga. Níquel e/ou cobalto pode (m) ser recuperado (s) em uma forma substancialmente pura do eluado por processos conhecidos. A polpa exaurida de metal é encaminhada para tratamento de refugo e descarte. Esse processo elimina a difícil separação sólido/líquido, que poderia ser, de outro modo, necessária para recuperar os valores metálicos da polpa de lixiviação rica.
