Abstract

"COMPOSTOS DIAMIDINA COMO LIGANTES DE PEQUENO SULCO DE DNA". Derivados assimétricos de furamidinas com um dos anéis fenila de furamidina substituído com um benzimidazol foram verificados por análises de pegadas quantitativas ligarem-se a sítios contendo GC sobre DNA mais fortemente que a seq³ências AT puras. Estes compostos foram mostrados ligarem-se no pequeno sulco em específicas seq³ências contendo GC de DNA em uma maneira altamente cooperativa como um dímero empilhado. Compostos da presente invenção encontram uso em ligação seletiva de seq³ência mista de DNA, e também podem ser usados em processos de regulagem de expressão de gene, processos de tratamento de infecções oportunísticas e câncer, assim como em processos de detecção de certas seq³ências de DNA.
