Abstract
"PROCESSOS PARA A REMOçãO, POR DESTILAçãO DE FORMALDEìDO DAS SOLUçõES DE REAçãO CONTENDO UM ALCANAL METILOLADO, E PARA A PREPARAçãO DE POLIóIS, EM PARTICULAR TRIóIS". A invenção refere-se a um método para a separação destilativa de formaldeído de misturas de reação contendo um alcanal hidroximetilado, dita mistura sendo obtida da reação de formaldeído com um alcanal, que compreende pelo menos um próton ácido em uma posição a à função carbonila, ou reação de uma 2-alquilacroleína ou acroleína com água e formaldeído, por meio do que dita reação é conduzida na presença de quantidades catalíticas de uma amina orgânica. A invenção é ainda caracterizada pelo fato de que, antes e/ou durante a destilação, uma quantidade adequada de água é adicionada. O método permite uma separação melhorada do formaldeído da mistura de reação e, além disso, permite uma hidrogenação mais fácil dos alcanais obtidos assim, para fornecer polióis.
