"SISTEMA DE ANEL CONDENSADO CONTENDO INDOL COMO ANTAGONISTAS AZA-ANTRACêNICOS SELETIVOS DO RECEPTOR MUSCARìNICO M~4~". e seus sais, ésteres, amidas e pró-drogas farmaceuticamente aceitáveis, em que R^1^ é hidrogênio, alquila inferior ou COOR^7^, arila substituída ou não-substituída, heteroarila substituída ou não-substituída, arilalquila substituída ou não-substituída ou heteroarilalquila substituída ou não-substituída; R^3^ é hidrogênio ou alquila inferior; R^2^, R ^4^, R^5^ e R^6^ representam independentemente hidrogênio, halogêneo, alquila inferior, alcóxi inferior, hidróxi, ciano, nitro, amino, mono ou dialquilamino, carbóxi, alcoxicarbonila, carbamoíla, sulfamoíla, trifluorometila ou alquiltio; R^7^ é hidrogênio ou alquila inferior; e R^8^ é hidrogênio ou oxo. é também proporcionado um método para antagonizar seletivamente o receptor muscarínico M~4~ e um método para o tratamento da doença de Parkinson.
