Abstract

"FORNO E PROCESSO DE REFORMA DE VAPOR". A presente invenção refere-se a um forno de reforma de vapor (F) que tem uma pluralidade de tubos de reforma (T) substancialmente verticais. Cada tubo de reforma (T) tendo uma entrada de alimentação (P) na sua extremidade inferior, uma descarga na sua extremidade superior, e uma zona de restrição de catalisador disposta intermediária entre as suas extremidades superior e inferior e contendo uma carga de um catalisador de reforma de vapor particulado (C), que é insuficiente para encher completamente a zona de restrição do catalisador. Meios superiores retentores (3) estão montados na extremidade superior da zona de restrição do catalisador e são permeáveis a gás ou vapor retêm partículas do catalisador (C) na zona de restrição do catalisador. Meios seguidores (4;24) estão montados na zona de restrição do catalisador por debaixo da carga de catalisador (C) para movimento ascendente de uma extremidade inferior da zona de restrição do catalisador sob fluxo ascendente do gás através da zona de restrição do catalisador a uma velocidade para além de uma velocidade limite. Uma mistura reagente compreendendo a matéria-prima de hidrocarboneto e vapor circula ascendentemente através de cada tubo de reforma (T) a uma velocidade de fluxo que seja suficiente para fazer com que o catalisador (C) em cada tubo de reforma (T) se eleve e forme uma almofada de catalisador (C) contra o lado inferior dos meios superiores retentores (3) no tubo de reforma (T) respectivo e que é em excesso de uma velocidade limite de modo a causar com que os meios seguidores (4;24) no tubo de reforma (T) se movam ascendentemente até que se justaponha contra o lado inferior da almofada de catalisador (C) no seu tubo de reforma (T). Os tubos de reforma (T) são aquecidos externamente por meio de um forno de reforma de vapor (F) de modo a manter condições de reformação de vapor em cada uma das pluralidades de tubos de reforma (T) e converter a matéria-prima de hidrocarboneto através de reação com vapor para formar uma mistura de gás reformado compreendendo óxidos de carbono e hidrogênio.
