Abstract
"COMPOSIçãO DE POLI-ALFA OLEFINA, LUBRIFICANTE, E, MéTODOS DE FABRICAçãO DE UMA POLI-ALFA OLEFINA, E DE UM LUBRIFICANTE". Um ou mais oligómeros de uma olefina são preparados na presença de um catalisador de sítio único. Preferivelmente, a olefina é uma <244>-olefina, e os oligómeros são uma poli-alfa-olefina (PAO). A PAO assim preparada é completa ou substancialmente livre de hidrogênio terciário resultante da isomerização. Conseq³entemente, a PAO possui biodegradabilidade melhorada, resistência a oxidação melhorada, e/ou um índice de viscosidade relativamente mais elevado. A PAO possui muitas aplicações úteis, tais como um componente de um lubrificante.
