Abstract
Patente de Invenção: <B>"PROCESSO PARA A PURIFICAçãO E A CRISTALIZAçãO DE RIBOFLAVINA"<D>. Um processo para a purificação e a cristalização de riboflavina compreende dissolver a riboflavina com formato de agulha, de modificação estável A, em uma solução aquosa de ácido mineral, em uma temperatura não excedendo cerca de 30°C, com mistura intensiva, adicionar carvão vegetal ativo à solução resultante, após adsorção das impurezas dissolvidas a partir da solução sobre o carvão vegetal ativo, submeter o meio contendo o carvão vegetal ativo a uma filtração em contracorrente, sobre uma membrana cerâmica tendo um tamanho de poro de cerca de 20 a cerca de 200 nm, tratar o filtrado resultante com uma quantidade de água de cinco a dez vezes (vol./vol.), em uma temperatura não excedendo cerca de 30°C, e separar os cristais esféricos, precipitados, resultantes, de riboflavina por centrifugação ou filtração. Se desejado, os cristais esféricos assim obtidos de riboflavina podem ser lavados com água e subseq³entemente secos. A riboflavina assim purificada e cristalizada é adequada para aplicações farmacêuticas e de gêneros alimentícios.
