Abstract
Patente de Invenção:<B>"PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR BISFENOL A"<D>. é provido um processo para produzir bisfenol A tendo um tom de cor estável em uma temperatura elevada e livre de coloração, que compreende reagir fenol com acetona na presença de uma resina de permuta de íon de ácido como um catalisador e um mercaptano de alquila como um co-catalisador, onde uma concentração de um composto de organossúlfur em um material de partida de cristalização obtido conduzindo-se a reação sob condições em que uma temperatura de reação está entre 60 e 100°C, uma relação molar de fenol para acetona está entre 6 a 13 e uma relação molar de acetona para mercaptano de alquila está entre 13 e 25, destilando-se acetona não reagida, água de sobproduto e o mercaptano de alquila como o co-catalisador e ainda destilando-se o excesso de fenol, seja medida, e mantida 200 ppm em peso ao menos.
