Abstract

"JUNTA DESLIZANTE". Uma junta deslizante inclui primeiro e segundo eixos que são conectados para movimento rotativo concorrente e para movimento axial relativo, tal como por respectivas pluralidades de ranhuras estendidas axialmente. Uma vedação pode ser fixada ao primeiro eixo e se estende em torno de uma porção do segundo eixo. Um conjunto de vedação é fixado ao segundo eixo e engata em uma porção da câmara de vedação. O conjunto de vedação inclui primeira e segunda vedações que são cada uma geralmente cóncavas no formato. Cada uma dentre a primeira e a segunda vedações é em geral de formato em V na seção transversal tendo uma extremidade mais radialmente mais interna, uma porção intermediária e uma extremidade radialmente mais externa, em que as extremidades radialmente mais intera e radialmente mais externa estão localizadas mais próximas entre si do que as porções radialmente intermediárias. A primeira e a segunda vedações são axialmente afastadas entre si de modo a de definirem um espaço anular entre as mesmas que pode ser preenchido com um material de vedação, tal como uma graxa a prova d'água. A primeira e a segunda vedações podem ser fixadas a um elemento de apoio que é fixado ao segundo eixo.
