Abstract

"DESCOBERTA E CONFIGURAçãO AUTOMáTICAS DE DISPOSITIVOS DE REDE EXTERNOS". Um sistema e método melhorados para descobrir e configurar topologias de rede seguras respondem aos ambientes de gestão de redes existentes e abrangem a detecção e configuração dinâmica de um hardware ou solução de software apropriada. Em uma modalidade da invenção, um mecanismo de multidifusão é usado para fornecer descoberta de dispositivo de hardware enquanto as interfaces de programas de aplicação fornecem descoberta de barreiras de proteção de software. Em uma outra modalidade, uma técnica de sondagem é usada para assegurar que a configuração de um dispositivo de gateway não altere, colocando em risco a rede protegida.
