Abstract
"MéTODO PARA PROVER HANDOFF DE LINK DIRETO EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO SEM FIO COM LINK DIRETO OFDM E LINK REVERSO CDMA". Um método e equipamento para realizar o handoff em um sistema de comunicação sem fio com modulação multiportadoras (MCM) para um link direto e CDMA para um link reverso. Em uma modalidade, um método de realização de handoff no link direto para um terminal é fornecido no qual a qualidade de sinal dos pilotos recebidos pelo terminal a partir de uma pluralidade de estações base no sistema é determinada. Uma estação base particular para a transmissão subseq³ente de dados no link direto para a terminal é selecionada com base na qualidade de sinal determinada para a pluralidade de estações base. Uma solicitação a ser transferida para a estação base particular é iniciada se a estação base particular for diferente da estação base atualmente selecionada.
