Abstract

"CODIFICAçãO POR REPETIçãO EM UM SISTEMA DE COMUNICAçãO BASEADO EM SATéLITE". Um sistema de comunicação de satélite compreende um transmissor, um transponder de satélite e um receptor. O transmissor transmite um sinal modulado multinível de subida (modulação hierárquica ou modulação em camadas) ao transponder do satélite, que difunde o sinal modulado multinível para baixo a um ou mais receptores. O transmissor inclui um codificador de repetição para codificar com repetição pelo menos um nível, por exemplo, um nível inferior, do sinal modulado multinível. De maneira complementar, o receptor inclui um decodificador de repetição para uso na decodificação de pelo menos um nível codificado com repetição do sinal modulado multinível recebido.
