Os dispositivos são dispositivos optoeletrónicos orgânicos de filme fino cristalino, capazes de gerar uma voltagem quando expostos à luz, e são preparados por um método que inclui os estágios de: depósito de uma primeira camada orgânica sobre um primeiro eletrodo; depósito de uma segunda camada orgânica sobre a primeira camada orgânica; depósito de uma camada confinante sobre a segunda camada orgânica para formar uma pilha; recozimento da pilha e, finalmente, depósito de um segundo eletrodo sobre a segunda camada orgânica.
