Abstract

"COMPOSIçãO POLIMéRICA RETICULáVEL POR UMIDADE, CONSTRUçãO DE FIO OU CABO USANDO A MESMA E MéTODO PARA SUA PREPARAçãO". A presente invenção e uma composição polimérica reticulável por umidade compreendendo (a) um polímero olefínico com funcionalidade de silano, (b) um catalisador de condensação de silanol ácido, e (c) um antioxidante, não tendo um grupo arila substituído com alquila terciário ou grupo fenólico, sendo que a composição polimérica não gera uma alta quantidade de gases com mau odor ou de gases combustíveis. Alternativamente, o antioxidante é substancialmente isento de substituintes vulneráveis à desalquilação na presença do catalisador de condensação de silanol ácido e sob as condições de processamento convencionais. A invenção também inclui métodos para preparar a composição polimérica reticulável por umidade. A composição polimérica reticulável por umidade pode ser utilizada como revestimento e aplicada sobre um fio ou cabo.
