Abstract
"BATERIA, VáLVULA DE AR PARA BATERIA, CIRCUITO PARA MONITORAR OS NìVEIS DE O~ 2~ NA CáMARA DE AR, E, MéTODO PARA OPERAR BATERIA". Uma bateria inclui uma capa de bateria que aloja uma célula que supre energia elétrica nos terminais da célula por uma reação eletroquímica com oxigênio, a capa incluindo, um primeiro componente que possui pelo menos um furo que fica exposto ao ar, e um segundo componente. A bateria inclui também um mecanismo acoplado a um do primeiro e segundo componentes para movimentar o um do primeiro e segundo componentes de tal modo que, quando uma corrente é retirada da bateria, a abertura no componente permite a passagem do ar para dentro da bateria, e movimentar o um do primeiro e segundo componentes de tal modo que, quando a corrente não é retirada da bateria, a abertura no componente não está em nivelamento, para inibir a passagem do ar para dentro da bateria. A bateria inclui também um circuito para controlar o mecanismo. Em uma forma de realização a circuito monitora os níveis de O~ 2~ na câmara de ar que envolve a célula. O circuito para monitorar os níveis de O~ 2~ na câmara de ar inclui um detector/sensor fluorescente que faz o sensoreamento e responde a alterações no O~ 2~ na câmara de ar pelo uso do 'efeito de extinção' do oxigênio no material fluorescente.
