Abstract
"PROCESSO PARA DIMINUIR USO DE ENERGIA EM UM PROCESSO DE PRODUçãO DE TEREFTALATO DE POLIETILENO". Tubos de tereftalato de polietileno em fusão (PET) de um reator de policondensação de PET são solidificados, pelotizados, e resfriados somente para uma temperatura na faixa de 50<198>C a uma temperatura próxima da Tg do polímero por contacto com água. As pelotas ainda quentes são transportadas, opcionalmente seguida por secagem para remover água, para um cristalizador de PET. Evitando resfriamento as pelotas amorfas para temperatura ambiente com água e ar frio, economias significantes de energia são realizadas.
