Abstract

"COMBUSTìVEL E CARTUCHO DE COMBUSTìVEL PARA O USO EM UMA CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL, MéTODO PARA FORNECER COMBUSTìVEL A UMA CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL, SISTEMA DE CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL DE OXIDAçãO DIRETA, E, DISPOSITIVO PARA ABASTECER COM COMBUSTìVEL UM SISTEMA DE CéLULA DE COMBUSTìVEL". A presente invenção fornece um combustível em gel, que inclui uma substância combustível mantida em uma estrutura polimérica. Uma forma de realização da composição inclui metanol puro, ao qual uma substância espessante, tal como aquela vendida comercialmente sob a marca comercial Carbopol<sym>, é adicionada para comunicar viscosidade, assim como propriedades de estabilização e suspensão. Além da substância espessante, uma outra substância pode ser adicionada para equilibrar o pH do combustível em gel quando necessário. De acordo com a invenção, um cartucho de célula de combustível é fornecido que tem pelo menos um aspecto que é permeável ao metanol e que pode incluir uma camada permeável ao vapor de combustível e pode ser compreendido de um de vários materiais alternativos.
