Abstract

"LOCUS DA MICOLACTONA: UMA LINHA DE MONTAGEM PARA PRODUçãO DE NOVOS POLICETIDEOS COM USOS TERAPêUTICO E PROFILáTICO". A presente invenção refere-se a plasmídeo virulento de Mycobacterium ulceran, pMUM001, e particularmente a um agrupamento de genes carreados por este plasmídeo, que codifica policetideo sintases (PKSs) e enzimas modificadoras de policetídeo, necessárias e suficientes para biossíntese de micolactona. Mais particularmente, esta invenção é direcionada a novos polipeptídeos purificados ou isolados, o polinculeotídeos codificando tais polipeptídeos, processos para produção de tais polipeptídeos, anticorpos gerados, contra estes polipeptídeos, o uso de tais polinucleotídeos e polipeptídeos em métodos de diagnóstico, kits, vacinas, terapia e para a produção de derivados de micolactona ou novos policetídeos por síntese combinatorial.
