Abstract
"DETERMINAçãO AUTOMáTICA DE UM PARáMETRO CARDIOVASCULAR BASEADA NA PRESSãO ARTERIAL". Um ou mais parâmetros cardiovasculares são estimados em função da forma de onda de pressão arterial (P(i)), em particular utilizando pelo menos um momento estatístico (<109>2P, <109>3P, e <109>4P) de uma forma de onda de representação (P(k)) discreta tendo uma ordem maior que um. A pressão arterial pode ser medida invasivamente ou não-invasivamente. A complacência arterial (I), uma constante de decaimento de pressão exponencial (tau), resistência vascular (R), saída cardíaca (CO), e volume de derrame (SV) são exemplos de parâmetros cardiovasculares que podem ser estimados utilizando vários aspectos da invenção. Em uma configuração de momento único da invenção, o volume de derrame (SV) de um indivíduo é estimado em função de um valor derivado da forma de onda de pressão. Em uma configuração de momentos múltiplos da invenção, dois ou mais dos quatro primeiros momentos - médio, desvio padrão, assimetria e curtose da forma de onda de pressão são utilizados para estimar o (s) parâmetro (s) cardiovasculares de interesse, bem como a freqüência cardíaca, momentos estatísticos(<109>~ 1T~, <109>~ 2T~, <109>~ 3T~, <109>~ 4T~) de um conjunto de valores de tempo ponderado por pressão (T(j)), e certas medidas de paciente antropométricas, tais como idade, sexo, área de superfície corporal, etc.
