Abstract

"REVESTIMENTOS RICOS EM MAGNéSIO E SISTEMAS DE REVESTIMENTO". São revelados métodos de tratamento de um metal para aperfeiçoar a resistência à corrosão do metal. O método inclui aplicar-se à superfície do metal um revestimento que compreende pó de magnésio e um ligante. A presente invenção também se refere a uma composição de revestimento que inclui pó de magnésio e um polímero ou pré-polímero de silano modificado epóxi isocianato híbrido. Os inventores constataram que a resistência à corrosão (conforme determinada por exposição de Prohesion¬ TM¬ de acordo com ASTM D5894-96, que é, desse modo, incorporada por referência) em excesso de 3.000 horas em liga de alumínio 2024 T-3 pode ser alcançada com os métodos e composições de revestimento da presente invenção.
