Abstract
"MATERIAL PARTICULADO POROSO PARA TRATAMENTO DE FLUIDO, COMPOSIçãO CIMENTOSA E MéTODO DE MANUFATURA DESTE". Um material particulado poroso para tratar um fluido contendo um contaminante é revelado. O material particulado compreende uma matriz ou aglutinante cimentoso e resíduo tratado de refinaria de bauxita ou lama vermelha. Pelo menos uma porção dos poros no material particulado é poros de célula aberta ou interconectados. A invenção também diz respeito ao uso de uma barreira permeável reativa compreendendo material poroso, para tratar um fluido contaminado. Também revelado é um método para produzir material particulado poroso para tratar um fluido contaminado e um método para tratar um fluido contaminado em que o material poroso é usado. A invenção diz respeito, além disso, a uma composição cimentosa compreendendo lama vermelha parcialmente neutralizada e cimento, em que a lama vermelha parcialmente neutralizada foi pré-tratada contatando-a com água tendo uma dureza total fornecida por cálcio, magnésio ou uma combinação destes, de pelo menos 3,5 milimoles por litro de equivalente de carbonato de cálcio. A composição cimentosa é útil como um material de estruturação ou construção.
