Abstract
REVESTIMENTO CONTENDO PD PARA SOBREVOLTAGEM DE CLORO INFERIOR. A presente invenção se refere a um revestimento eletrocatalítico e um elétrodo tendo o revestimento nisto. Onde o revestimento é um revestimento de óxido de metal misturado, preferivelmente óxidos de metal do grupo da platina com ou sem óxidos de metal da válvula, e contendo um componente de metal de transição tal como paládio, ródio ou cobalto. O revestimento eletrocatalítico pode ser empregado especialmente com um componente de ânodo de uma célula de eletrólise para a eletrólise de uma solução contendo halogênio onde o componente do paládio reduz o potencial de operação do ânodo e elimina a necessidade de um período de "interromper" para obter o potencial de ânodo mais baixo.
