"PNEUMáTICO COM OMBRO ELìPTICO". é descrito um pneumático com melhor balanço de desgaste e melhor desempenho de direção sob condições de serviço do pneumático tais como carregamento, frenagem e curva. A banda de rodagem do pneumático inclui uma superfície radialmente externa com pelo menos primeira, segunda e terceira regiões definidas entre o plano equatorial do pneumático e o ombro do pneumático. A segunda região fica arranjada coextensiva com a terceira região para definir uma interface circunferencial e a segunda região é tangente à terceira região ao longo da interface circunferencial. O raio de curvatura da terceira região é menor do que o raio de curvatura da segunda região.
