Abstract

PLANTAS MODIFICADAS COM MINICROMOSSOMAS . A presente invenção refere-se, de modo geral, a métodos de geração de plantas transformadas com novos minicromossomas autónomos. Minicromossomas com novas composições e constructos são usados para transformar células de planta as quais são, por sua vez, usadas para gerar a planta. Métodos para a geração da planta incluem métodos para distribuição do minicromossoma à célula de planta para transformar a célula, métodos para seleção da célula transformada e métodos para isolamento de plantas transformadas com o minicromossoma. As plantas geradas na presente invenção contêm novos genes introduzidos em seu genoma através de integração em cromossomas existentes.
