Abstract
DERIVADOS INDENO E PROCESSO PARA A SUA PREPARAçãO Derivados indeno de fórmula (I) que são capazes de modular seletivamente as atividades de receptores ativados por proliferador peroxisoma (PPARs), sem provocar efeitos colaterais adversos, e desse modo são úteis para o tratamento e prevenção de distúrbios modulados pelos PPARs; isto é, síndromes metabólicas tais como diabetes, obesidade, arteriosclerose, hiperlipidemia, hiperinsulinismo e hipertensão, doenças inflamatórias tais como osteoporose, cirrose hepática e asma, e câncer.
