Abstract
SISTEMA CATALISADOR PARA ISOMERIZAçãO DE XILENOS. A presente invenção refere-se a um sistema catalisador que exibe uma razão de saturação de etileno para saturação de anel aromático maior do que 3.500. O sistema catalisador compreende dois componentes e cada componente compreende uma peneira molecular cristalina que tem um ìndice de Restrição de desde aproximadamente 1 até aproximadamente 12 e uma quantidade eficaz de metal do Grupo VIII. O sistema catalisador encontra aplicação em particular em reações de conversão de etilbenzeno/isomerização de xilenos. O sistema catalisador pode ser preparado por incorporação do metal do Grupo VIII às peneiras moleculares por troca iónica competitiva.
