Abstract
BATERIA ALCALINA PRIMáRIA CONTENDO óXIDO METáLICO DE BISMUTO. A presente invenção refere-se a uma bateria incluindo um cátodo com um óxido contendo um ou mais metais e bismuto pentavalente, um ânodo, um separador entre o cátodo e o ânodo, e um eletrólito alcalino. Os metais podem ser um metal alcalino, um metal alcalino-terroso, um metal de transição e/ou um metal do grupo principal. O separador pode ser íon-seletivo ou substancialmente capaz de impedir que espécies iónicas solúveis de bismuto se difundam do cátodo para o ânodo.
