Abstract

GENES DELTA 6-DESATURASE E USOS DOS MESMOS. A sujeita invenção relaciona-se a identificação de genes envolvidos na desaturação de aminoácidos poliinsaturados no carbono 6 (isto é. "<30>6-desaturase"). Em particular, a <30>6-desaturase pode ser utilizada, por exemplo, na invenção do ácido linoléico para ácido <sym>-linolênico e na conversão de ácido <244>-linolênico e ácido estearidónico.
