Abstract

"DISPOSIçãO ESTRUTURAL DE CASCO CILìNDRICO". Uma disposição de construção de casco circular flutuante aperfeiçoada. O casco é dividido em seções por meio de chatas herméticas à água. As chatas são enrijecidas com ângulos ou vigas de bulbo curvadas de modo a formar circulos concêntricos que são, por sua vez, suportados pelas vigas radiais espaçadas em torno das chatas e que se estendem entre os revestimentos interno e externo. Em cada seção, vigas longitudinais espaçadas em um sentido radial em torno do lado interno do revestimento externo terminam nas chatas e se f ixam às chatas e não penetram nas chatas. As vigas longitudinais são fixadas às chatas alinhadas com os locais das vigas radiais que se estendem através das chatas para os revestimentos interno e externo. Uma disposição de lastro de painel sobre a circunferência interna do revestimento externo é fixada ao revestimento externo e às vigas longitudinais. As vigas longitudinais espaçadas em torno da circunferência externa do revestimento interno se estendem ao longo do comprimento do revestimento interno e são fixadas às vigas radiais. Com as vigas longitudinais interna e externa ligadas às vigas radiais, são criadas estruturas de resistência ao momento que se dispõem em um sentido radial em cada compartimento. Estas estruturas enrijecem as vigas individuais assim como equilibram as cargas axiais diferenciais nas superfícies de revestimento interno e revestimento externo. Os compartimentos são montados com as seções em uma orientação vertical a fim de minimizar a distorção de auto-peso durante ereção e prover um acesso direto com guinchos para oficinas durante o conjunto das seções completas. As seções completadas giram na horizontal a fim de serem ligadas a outras seções e formar um cilindro completo.
