Abstract
"CEPA BACTERIANA ISOLADA, INóCULO BACTERIANO A SER UTILIZADO NA BIOLIXIVIAçãO DE MINéRIOS METáLICOS SULFURADOS E PROCESSO DE BIOLIXIVIAçãO MINERAL". A presente invenção está relacionada a uma bactéria quimiolitotrófica isolada pertencendo à espécie Acidithiobacillus thiooxidans de nome Licanantay, depositada no Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen und Zellkulburen GmbH - DSMZ com o número DSM 17318, e seu uso em forma pura ou em misturas que a contém para processos de biolixiviação de minerais ou concentrados de espécies metálicas sulfuradas. A cepa Licanantay DSM 17318 possui atividade de oxidação de enxofre tanto em minerais sulfurados primários quanto secundários, especialmente no caso de calcopirita, covelita, bornita, calcocita enargita e tenantita.
