Abstract

"PROCESSO DE RECUPERAçãO DE NìQUEL E COBALTO A PARTIR DE UM ELUATO DE RESINA DE TROCA IÈNICA E PRODUTO". A presente invenção trata de processo para obtenção de níquel, cobalto, cobre e outros metais a partir de minérios que os contenham, assim como produto obtido em qualquer de suas etapas, abaixo indicadas: (a) preparação ou pré-tratamento do minério para seu enriquecimento através da rejeição de sílica; (b) lixiviação ácida do minério pré-tratado; (c) tratamento da solução efluente obtida na etapa de lixiviação empregando resina de troca iónica aplicada a polpa; (d) eluição ou dessorção da resina de troca-iónica empregando ácido clorídrico regenerado da etapa de pirohidrólise; (e) remoção do cobre e outras impurezas através de precipitação empregando sulfeto ou ácido sulfídrico; (f) a solução que ainda contem níquel e cobalto é submetida a processo de extração por solvente; (g) stripping ou reextração, empregando ácido clorídrico regenerado da etapa de pirohidrólise; (h) precipitação de cobalto na forma de carbonato ou qualquer outro produto intermediário, como sulfato, óxido, hidróxido; (i) pirohidrólise da solução contendo níquel, obtendo-se assim níquel na forma de óxido e ácido clorídrico.
