Abstract

MATERIAIS POLIMêRICOS ALTAMENTE POROSOS COMPREENDENDO MOLéCULAS BIOLOGICAMENTE ATIVAS ATRAVéS DE ENXERTO COVALENTE. A presente invenção se refere aos materiais poliméricos altamente porosos, compreendendo espécies biologicamente ativas, enxertadas covalentemente. A invenção também se refere a um processo para a preparação de materiais altamente porosos, compreendendo monómeros funcionais capazes de enxerto em espécies moleculares biologicamente ativas compreendendo as etapas de: (a) preparação de uma composição em emulsão compreendendo uma fase em gotícula e uma fase contínua e contendo monómeros, (b) cura da emulsão e (c) remoção opcional da fase aquosa/em gotículas. A invenção se refere adicionalmente a um processo para enxerto de espécies biologicamente ativas em tal material polimérico altamente poroso compreendendo as etapas de: (i) exposição do material altamente poroso a uma solução de espécies moleculares biologicamente ativas em um meio solvente apropriado, (ii) adição opcional de um agente de ativação, (iii) aquecimento opcional e (iv) enxágúe do material poroso com um meio solvente para remover espécies não enxertadas. Os materiais poliméricos altamente porosos compreendendo espécies biologicamente ativas covalentemente enxertadas podem ser usados, por exemplo, como um catalisador heterogêneo, em biosensores, para cromatograf ia, em dispositivos biomédicos e em implantes.
