Abstract
"PROCESSO DE REDUçãO QUìMICA, AGLOMERAçãO E RETIRADA DE MATERIAIS VOLáTEIS". O processo é especialmente de economia de carvão e coque graúdos para a indústria siderúrgica e consiste na mistura dos finos de óxidos com material carbonoso fino para depois ser submetida, aglomerada ou não, ao aquecimento a temperaturas suficientes para a redução dos óxidos (diagrama de Elligen ), usando-se, eventualmente, oxigênio para enriquecer o ar. O processo possibilita também a eliminação dos materiais voláteis contidos na matéria prima.
