Abstract
PROCESSO PARA PRODUZIR BIODIESEL DE GLICERÍDEOS E PROCESSO PARA PRODUÇÃO DE BIODIESEL PURIFICADO DE GLICERÍDEOS. Um sistema e método para conversão de ácidos graxos livres em glicerídeos e a subseqüente conversão de glicerídeos em glicerina e biodiesel inclui a transesterificação de uma corrente de glicerídeo com um álcool. Os ésteres de alquila de ácido graxo são separados da glicerina para produzir uma primeira fase líquida contendo uma corrente (concentrada) rica em éster de alquila de ácido graxo e uma segunda fase líquida contendo uma corrente (concentrada) rica em glicerina. A corrente rica em éster de alquila de ácido graxo é então submetida a destilação, preferivelmente destilação reativa, segundo a qual a corrente se submete ambas a separação física e reação química. A corrente rica em éster de alquila de ácido graxo é então purificada para produzir um produto de biodiesel purificado e uma corrente residual rica em glicerídeo. Biodiesel pode ser ainda recuperado da corrente residual rica em glicerídeo, por posterior separação de e/ou processamento de glicerídeos/ácidos graxos livres contidos no mesmo. A corrente da segunda fase líquida rica em glicerina pode ainda ser purificada para produzir um produto de glicerina purificada e uma (segunda) corrente de álcool úmido. Neutralização da corrente alcalina, formada durante o processo da transesterificação catalisada por ácali, pode proceder pela adição de um ácido mineral ou um orgânico.
