Abstract

USO DE POLÍMEROS EM FORMA DE PENTE PARA REDUZIR DO CONSUMO DE COMBUSTÍVEL. A presente invenção refere-se ao uso de polímeros em forma de pente compreendendo, na cadeia principal unidades de repetição as quais são derivadas dos macromonômeros à base de poliolefina, e unidades de repetição as quais são derivadas dos monômeros de baixo peso molecular selecionados do grupo consistindo em monômeros de estireno tendo de 8 a 17 átomos de carbono, (met) acrilatos de alquila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool, ésteres de vinila tendo de 1 a 11 átomos de carbono no grupo acila, éteres de vinila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool, fumaratos de (di) alquila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool, maleatos de (di) alquila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool e misturas destes monômeros, onde o grau molar de ramíficação está na faixa de 0,1 a 10% em mol e o polímero em forma de pente compreende um total de pelo menos 80% em peso, com base no peso das unidades de repetição, de unidades de repetição as quais são derivadas dos macromonômeros à base de poliolefina e unidades de repetição as quais são derivadas dos monômeros de baixo peso molecular selecionados do grupo consistindo em monômeros de estireno tendo de 8 a 17 átomos de carbono, (met) acrilatos de alquila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool, ésteres de vinila tendo de 1 a 11 átomos de carbono no grupo acila, éteres de vinila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool, fumaratos de (di) alquila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool, maleatos de (di) alquila tendo de 1 a 10 átomos de carbono no grupo álcool e misturas destes monômeros, para a reduzir o consumo de combustível de veículos.
