Abstract

PROCESSO PARA A PRODUçãO DE áCIDO SULFúRICO E/OU óLEUM. Processo para a produção de ácido sulfúrico concentrado e óleum a partir de gases de alimentação com até 70% SO~2~ + SO~3~ (SO~x~) e um teor de H~2~O correspondendo a relações molares de H~2~O/SO~3~ de até 1,6, particularmente na faixa de 0,5 a 1,6 a montante de um condensador intermediário de ácido sulfúrico compreendendo um circuito de reciclagem de ar com adição de água. O processo da invenção minimiza o consumo de energia da planta de ácido sulfúrico por redução do consume de água de resfriamento e obtenção de recuperação possível máxima do calor liberado no processo para a produção de vapor em alta pressão para a produção de energia. Até 99,95% do SO~x~ no gás de alimentação podem ser recuperados, como tipicamente 98,5 - 99,5% em peso de ácido sulfúrico concentrado e/ou óleum com até 25% em peso de SO~3~.
