Abstract

MÉTODO PARA PRODUZIR UMA SOLUÇÃO DE NITRATO FERROSO ESTÁVEL E MÉTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM CATALISADOR DE FERRO. É descrito um método para produzir solução de nitrato ferroso estável dissolvendo-se ferro em ácido nítrico para formar uma solução de nitrato ferroso e manter a solução a uma primeira temperatura por um primeiro período de tempo, por meio do que o teor de Fe(II) da solução de nitrato ferroso muda em menos que cerca de 2 % durante um segundo período de tempo. É descrito um método para produzir solução de nitrato de ferro, Fe(Il)/Fe(III) estável compreendendo nitrato ferroso e férrico e com uma razão desejada de ferro ferroso para ferro férrico, incluindo obter uma solução de nitrato ferroso estável; dissolver ferro em ácido nítrico para formar uma solução de nitrato férrico; manter a solução de nitrato férrico a uma segunda temperatura por um terceiro período de tempo; e combinar quantidades de solução de nitrato ferroso e solução de nitrato férrico estáveis para produzir a solução de nitrato de ferro, Fe(II)/Fe(lII) estável. É também descrito um método de preparar um catalisador de ferro.
