Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un catalyseur comprenant au moins un composant métallique d'hydrogénation et une argile synthétique gonflante constituée de plaquettes d'argile élémentaire, le diamètre moyen de ces plaquettes d'argile ne dépassant pas 1 micron et le degré moyen d'empilage des plaquettes ne dépassant pas 20 plaquettes par pile. Le catalyseur est notamment approprié au traitement à l'hydrogène des charges d'hydrocarbures, le terme "traitement à l'hydrogène" concernant tous les procédés dans lesquels une charge d'hydrocarbures est mise en réaction avec l'hydrogène. Les argiles qui sont appropriées pour être utilisées dans le catalyseur de l'invention peuvent être préparées selon la demande de brevet néerlandaise No 9401433.
