Abstract

Une nouvelle composition de cathode pour utilisation dans une pile à métal/carbone fluoré est produite en extrayant des carbones fluorés fabriqués à partir d'un carbone anisotropique et isotropique, dans lequel le carbone anisotropique est une fibre de carbone et le carbone isotropique est du graphite. Cette composition de cathode possède une capacité particulière supérieure et une capacité de vitesse d'écoulement supérieure à celles des produits industriels communément utilisés et fabriqués en utilisant des cokes de pétrole fluorés ou des matériaux similaires. De plus, cette composition subit beaucoup moins de gonflement (augmentation du volume) pendant l'écoulement comparativement au carbone fluoré communément utilisé.
