Abstract

La présente invention se rapporte à un procédé qui met en uvre un traitement thermique sur un long matériau qui doit être thermo-traité, et qui utilise un four de traitement thermique du type intermittent qui a une forme cylindrique et dont l'intérieur a été divisé en une pluralité de zones de chauffage sur tout le long de sa longueur et dont les deux extrémités ont été bloquées. Les sections les plus extrêmes du four de traitement thermique sont divisées en une pluralité de zones de chauffage qui ont une longueur plus courte que les zones de chauffage qui ne se trouvent pas dans les sections les plus extrêmes. Le procédé de traitement thermique comprend une série d'étapes consistant à : déterminer à l'avance la caractéristique de puissance de chauffage de chaque source de chaleur dans chaque zone de chauffage dans les sections les plus extrêmes sur la base des résultats des températures réelles mesurées pendant le chauffage des sections d'extrémité du matériau qui doit être thermo-traité (étape une) ; réguler de façon individuelle la puissance de chauffage des sources de chaleur pendant le traitement thermique du matériau qui doit être thermo-traité sur la base de la configuration de puissance de chauffage de chaque source de chaleur comme cela est déterminé à l'étape un, et des résultats des mesures de la température à l'intérieur du four de chaque zone de chauffage dans les sections les plus extrêmes et dans les autres zones de chauffage (étape deux). Ce procédé de traitement thermique permet que le matériau qui doit être thermo-traité, soit chauffé de façon précise et de façon égale sur toute sa longueur même dans des fours de traitement thermique qui ne comprennent pas de sources de chaleur sur les deux parois d'extrémité.
