Abstract

Un procédé et un système associé servant à créer les effets de couleur dans un matériau extrudable, comme un plastique et un métal, par exemple, sont présentés. Les écoulements du premier et du deuxième matériaux visqueux des couleurs respectives sont fournis, puis combinés dans un motif prédéterminé pour former un flux de matériaux visqueux combinés. Dans un premier aspect, le débit découlement du premier matériau visqueux est entraîné à varier dans le temps pour faire varier une quantité du premier matériau visqueux dans le flux. Dans un deuxième aspect, qui peut être utilisé seul ou en combinaison avec le premier aspect, le premier et le deuxième matériaux visqueux ont des viscosités distinctes pour réduire une quantité de mélange de couleurs entre la première couleur et la deuxième couleur dans le flux de matériaux visqueux combinés. Un mélangeur statique peut ensuite être utilisé pour exercer un mouvement prédéterminé de division, retournement et combinaison sur le flux de matériaux visqueux combinés pour mélanger partiellement le premier matériau visqueux et le deuxième matériau visqueux de sorte quà la sortie du mélangeur statique, le premier matériau visqueux de la première couleur et le deuxième matériau visqueux de la deuxième couleur forment un motif de couleur dans le flux de matériaux visqueux combinés. Des feuilles de matériau extrudable peuvent être créées en utilisant un tel procédé et utilisées dans la fabrication de plusieurs produits différents, y compris, par exemple, des kayaks et des planches à rame.
