Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Wismutsalzes einer merkurierten, organischen, einen Säurerest enthaltenden Verbindung. Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einer therapeutisch wichtigen, gleiehzeitig Queck silber und Wismut enthaltenden Verbindung gelangen kann, wenn man Merkurisulfosali- cy1säure in Form ihrer Alkalisalze mit Wis- mutsalzen zusammenbringt. Der Gehalt an Quecksilber und Wismut schwankt je nach der Menge der angewandten Komponenten.
Die neue Verbindung zeichnet sich durch eine kräftige Wirkung bei Syphilis aus und ist weniger giftig, als nach ihrem Gehalt an merkurierter Verbindung erwartet werden sollte.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Eine Lösung von 8,8 gr oxymerkurisulfo- salicylsaurem Natrium (D. R. P. 216267; Fried länder IX, 1070) in 200 ccm Wasser werden mit 3,2 gr Wismutnitrat in wenig verdünnter Salpetersäure gelöst, versetzt, wobei das Wis- mutsalz der Oxymerkurisulfosalicylsäure als weisser Niederschlag sich abscheidet.
A method of preparing a bismuth salt of a mercurized organic compound containing an acid residue. It has been found that a therapeutically important compound containing mercury and bismuth at the same time can be obtained by combining mercury sulfosaliic acid in the form of its alkali metal salts with bismuth salts. The content of mercury and bismuth varies depending on the amount of the components used.
The new compound has a powerful effect on syphilis and is less toxic than should be expected based on its mercurated compound content.
<I> Example: </I> A solution of 8.8 grams of sodium oxymerkurisulfosalicylsaurem (DRP 216267; Fried länder IX, 1070) in 200 ccm of water is dissolved with 3.2 grams of bismuth nitrate in a little dilute nitric acid, added the wisdom salt of oxymerkurisulfosalicylic acid separates out as a white precipitate.
