Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung  ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Azo-          farbstoffes,    den man durch Kupplung der       Diazoverbindung    von 1,3,6 -     Trimethyl-    4     -          amino-2-chlorbenzol    mit     2-Ogynaphtalin-3-          earbonsäure-4'-chlor-2'-methyl-1'-anilid    er  hält.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Die aus 17 kg     1,3,6-Trimethyl-4-amino-          2-chlorbenzol    in üblicher     Weise    dargestellte       Dia.zoverbindung        lässt    man unter Rühren in  eine wässerige Suspension von 31 kg     2-Oxy-          naphtalin-    3     -.carbonsäure-4'-chlor-        2'-methyl-          1'-anilid,    bereitet durch Auflösen desselben  in Natronlauge     und    Wiederausfällen mit  verdünnter Essigsäure, einlaufen. Der Farb  stoff scheidet sich als roter Niederschlag aus.

    Er wird     filtriert,    gewaschen und     getrocknet.
