Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer höher molekularen u-substitnierten Benzylaminsulfonsäure. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer höher molekularen, a-substituierten Benzylaminsul- f onsäure, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man N-Benzoyl - N - methyl - a - undecylbenzylamin sulfiert.
Die neue Sulfonsäure bildet als Natrium salz ein helles, in Wasser leicht lösliches Pul ver. Sie kann als Wasch- und Netzmittel und als Kalkseifenemulgator Verwendung finden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 27,5 Teile des nach den Angaben im Zu satzpatent Nr. 211795 erhaltenen N-Methyl- a-undecylbenzylamins werden mit 25 Teilen Benzoylchlorid auf 130 bis 140' erhitzt.
Nach 24 Stunden wird die Masse mit heissem Wasser emulgiert, kurz mit Dampf destil liert und der Rückstand ausgeäthert. Die Ätherlösung wird durch Ausziehen mit ver dünnter Sodalösung von der Benzoesäure be freit und der Äther abdestilliert. 0,
1 Mol des erhaltenen N-Benzoyl-N - methyl - a - undecyl- benzylamins werden bei 0 in 100 Teilen Monohydrat gelöst und langsam bei dieser 2s Temperatur mit 40 Teilen 26%igem Oleum sulfoniert. Nach 2 Stunden trägt man die Sulfonierungsmasse in 500 Teile Eis ein und neutralisiert bei 0 bis 10 mit Natronlauge. Nach dem Eindampfen und Trocknen erhält so man ein helles, in Wasser leicht lösliches Pulver.
